Making smoothie is one
of the easiest things to do in your kitchen. #Smoothie is a #NoTimeWaster
Are you trying to get your kids to eat more fruits, or are you team #FitFam trying to lose weight, you simply want a refreshing drink, want to energize your body or enhance your skin glow? You can choose a combination of fruits and vegetables to make the perfect smoothie for your needs.
Until I started making my own smoothie, I thought it was
time consuming (as a mum, time is of utmost importance to me, I always want the
fastest and best approach to get the best out of everything I do at home).
Making Smoothie is a no time waster plus you get all the
benefits of creating a healthy refreshing drink consisting of your favourite
fruits, veggies, proteins and all things good for your body together in a
drink. All you just have to do is shove them into a blender, fire up the blender and Viola! Your Smoothie is ready! Fresh, Delicious and Healthy.
There’s a way it feels in your mouth, rejuvenates and
cools your body after gulping a cup of ice cold smoothie especially on a hot
summer afternoon. Absolutely Refreshing!
So, grab your blender and try
out these combination smoothies:
Water melon – Pineapple & Ginger Smoothie
You can never go wrong with watermelon in your smoothie because of its sweet, yummy and slushy texture.
Cut pineapple and watermelon into cubes, rinse to remove as much seed as you can, put in bags and store in freezer till you are ready to use.
Place frozen watermelon and pineapple cubes, freshly grated ginger, crushed ice cubes and add some water if it is too thick (watermelon has a high water content, so watch the quantity of water you add). Puree on high until smooth.
Pineapple & Coconut Smoothie
Cut pineapple into chunks, Put some coconut milk/water in an ice cube tray and freeze. Blend pineapple, coconut milk ice cubes and add some freshly squeezed lime. Blend until smooth. Add some water if it’s too thick. Pineapple is sweet but you can add sugar if you so desire. To encourage kids to take more fruits, you can add their favourite juice (apple or pineapple).
Pineapple & Banana Smoothie
Peel and cut banana and pineapple into chunks. Put in a blender, add some crushed ice cubes and some water into the blender. Add apple or pineapple juice (optional). Puree on high until smooth.
If frozen fruits are too hard, let it thaw a bit before you blend so it doesn’t damage your blender.
If you are not a fan of ice, you can remove all the frozen options.
