The WAEC (West
African Examination Council) records approximately 53% pass in a recent release
of results.
Faizah Abubakar is best overall
student in her school, Olumawu College, Abuja. She scored A1 (distinctions) in
all the nine subjects she sat for in the 2016 WAEC Senior School Certificate Examination.
Faizah is an indigene of Kano
state, In recognition of merit and to encourage Girl-Child education, the Kano
state government offered her a full scholarship up to PhD level at any
university of her choice anywhere in the world. She says she intends to be a
medical doctor and has already been offered admission in a university in Egypt and
seven universities in the United Kingdom.

Another student of Dority International School Abia state, Iloabuchi Vivian
also scored all distinctions in the same exam.
This is an inspiration to
other children that success is achievable if you are determined and work hard. Congratulations!
