It takes a
special man to be a great DAD, a pillar of strength and discipline, someone to
look up to, a man who listens with love and put his family first.
Father’s
day is observed in many countries every third Sunday in June to appreciate
fathers, grandfathers and all father figures in one’s life. It was created
to complement Mother’s Day. This years fathers day is on Sunday, 19th
June 2016, making it a special one because it falls on the same date with the
first ever fathers day to be celebrated on June 19, 1910 at the YMCA in Spokane, Washington by Sonora
Smart Dodd. She made it possible for all fathers to have their special day as
well in honour of her father who raised six children as a single parent.
