Couple who has been married for 75 years celebrates and reveals the secret that kept them together.

75 years and still counting!  Awwwww!

They are Fred and Marjorie Mawby, they have known each other nearly 80years. They actually met on a blind date in the year 1938 (didn’t know there was anything like that way back), dated for 3 years before they got married. To celebrate their 75^th wedding anniversary, the couple decided to share the secret  to their very, very long lasting marriage in an interview with the Daily Mirror.

Like most couples, they’ve had issues especially over money but they’ve been able to sort their differences and remain together.

 "We've had our issues with the cost of living when we were bringing up our kids, as we had to make sure there was food on the table," Marjorie explained. 

Despite having the same exact quarrel for 75 years, Fred and Marjorie believe their weekly arguments are healthy because it allows them to clear the air, which they say is the key to everything.

"We're still together after 75 years of marriage and although we've had our ups and downs about money and how Marjorie spends it, we've sorted through our differences," Fred said. 

And Marjorie agrees: "It [the marriage] has hit a few rocky patches as we argue about money, but we will always sort it out...I wouldn't have him any other way, really."

They even got an anniversary card from the Queen.
