Watch out! That lovely looking swing you just purchased for your baby may have a factory fault. Thousands of Fisher-Price cradle swings have been recalled after reports that the moving seat has fallen, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The
"Cradle n' Swing," which rocks side to side or head to toe with
"speeds from low to high" and a mobile that hangs above, has a peg
that holds the seat to the base.
The
commission received two accounts as reported by CNN that the peg came out from the seat, causing
the seat to dislodge and fall. It said this can
happen when the seat peg is not fully engaged.
According
to the site, no injuries have yet been reported. About 34,000 swings have been
produced. Fisher-Price issued the recall. CHM84 Soothing Savanna Cradle 'n Swing is among models
recalled.
What do you think will happen to the ones that have already been sold to other countries outside the United States? How active is the Agency in Nigeria responsible for Product safety?
Firstly, do we have records of who or what is imported into the country to know the nos of cradle swings that would have been sold to the country.
