Did u even know there was anything like National Siblings’
day? There’s mother and father’s day, so also sibling’s day. There’s a day to
celebrate every relationship. Siblings’ day is intended to celebrate and honour the relationship between brothers and sisters.
It’s a holiday known annually in some
parts of the United States on the 10th of April. Many people
observe it by posting pictures of their siblings’ online and sending goodwill
messages.
As children, we fought over everything, grew up to share responsibilities, know each other front and back and share family jokes and feud.
And as a parent, you see your kids fight, play,
scream and then hug each other. You love the way they are crazy about each other (that is when
they are not driving each other crazy). The younger one looking up at the older
one for reassurance and you hope they will be forever playmates, forever
companions.
It is important for parents
to nurture siblings love as the bond between siblings are life-long
relationship, usually the longest relationship one can have, longer than the
relationship with one’s father and mother.
“You can kid the world, but not your sister.” - Charlotte Gray.
"It takes two men to make one brother." - Israel Zangwill.
"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there." - Amy Li.
