The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards, 2016 : Exclusive Photos and Winners’ List


The annual edition (3rd year running) of the kids’ choice sports awards has come and gone but memories still lingers on. The orange carpet event, hosted by NFL, Seattle Seahawks Player, Russell Wilson took place on Thursday, 14th July, 2016 at the Pauley Pavilion, University Of California, Los Angeles. A lot of stars graced the event with their family members making the awards show a family event. Audience cast their votes before the events and top athletes are presented with an orange blimp award in different categories such as clutch player of the year, hands of gold and biggest powerhouse in recognition of their unique achievements in sport.

The event usually allows celebrities to be showered with slime amidst so much laughter and fun. Among the top Nominees this year are Stephen Curry, Cam Newton, Alex Morgan, Rob Gronkowski and Serena Williams.

Best Male Athlete – LeBron James (NBA , Cleveland Cavaliers)

Favourite Newcomer – Simone Biles (Professional Artistic Gymnast)

Sickest Moves - Stephen Curry (NBA, Golden State Warriors)

Biggest Powerhouse – Rob Gronkowski (NFL, New England Patriots)

Hands of Gold - Odell Beckham Jr. (NFL, New York Giants)

King of Swag – Cam Newton (NFL, Carolina Panthers)

Queen of Swag – Leticia Bufoni (Professional Skateboarder)

Best Cannon – Russell Wilson (NFL , Seattle Seahawks)

Need for Speed - Usain Bolt (Professional Track and Field Athlete) 

Legend Award – Kobe Bryant
